Waitsfield, VT, April 11, 2012 – Troy Kingsbury will be visiting four schools in the next week to entice students to participate in the Race to Read program. The racecar driver will arrive with the #39 racecar to increase interest and promote the reading program. As a reward, all elementary aged children that read fifteen (15) books by April 20th will be asked to sign VG Racing's #39 racecar.
Appearances are based on the recess schedule of each school. Troy will be at the Roxbury Village School this Friday, April 13th at 11:45am. Next week's appearances will include: Warren Elementary School on Monday, April 16th at 11:20am, Braintree Elementary School on Tuesday, April 17th at 11:20 and Moretown Elementary School on Friday, April 20th at 11:20am.
Students that complete the challenge will sign Troy Kingsbury's racecar just in time for the 2012 racing season at Thunder Road and will help VG Racing in their attempt to win the 2012 Thunder Road Car Show. Each student's autograph will appear on the car for the entire 2012 season.
Troy Kingsbury is excited to be at Waitsfield Elementary with the #39 racecar to promote the Race to Read Program. "I think it's exciting to bring the car out for the kids. It provides a sense of reality when they can see and touch it knowing that if they succeed in reading twenty books, their name will be on the car for the entire season."
This will be Troy's fourth year of racing at Thunder Road. Last year Troy won the Eddie Carrol Sportsman Award and finished 4th overall in points.
As a new program this year, Pyrofax Energy is excited to sponsor the Race to Read program and assist Kingsbury with this educational endeavor. Pyrofax Energy believes that literacy is an important life tool that not only helps children to navigate their way through school, but is also a necessity to navigate throughout life.

Once the list of 15 books or more is completed, return the form your teacher or drop it off at the Village Grocery in Waitsfield by April 20th.
